Preparation
Before the shoot, we suggest that you hire a professional stager, or follow our preparation checklist below. Following the checklist will best represent your home to buyers.
Remove Personal Items
Please ask the homeowner to vacate the property during the shoot.
Remove / hide all personal pictures, calendars, jackets, shoes, etc.
Hide all pet items.
Clean
Declutter the property to the best of your abilities.
Vacuum, mop, wipe windows, wipe counter-tops, etc. We recommend hiring a professional cleaner.
Make all beds and tidy everything up.
Clear all items off of countertops.
Lightbulbs
Test and replace all burnt-out bulbs.
This includes lamps and led-strips.
Conceal any cords.
Declutter
Remove unnecessary items off countertops.
Remove items such as magnets off of the refridgerator.
Hide garbage bins inside cabinets.
Clean
Wipe countertops.
Put away dishes, paper towels, soaps, sponges, baking supplies, etc.
Declutter
Clear countertops of toothbrushes, medications, deodorant, etc.
Remove / hide soaps, shampoos, loofahs, etc from showers.
Put toilet seats down.
Hide garbage bins, and plungers inside cabinets.
Clean
Wipe countertops.
It is vital that everything is clean but most importantly in the washroom!
Declutter
Clear nightstands of all personal items.
Remove charging cables for phones, laptops, etc.
Remove items on top of dressers.
Clean and organize closets by having everything neatly folded or hidden completely.
Clean
Make sure all sheets and laundry are clean.
Include all decorative pillows if possible.
Fluff pillows.
Declutter
Clear driveway of vehicles that aren't being showcased.
Close garage doors.
Remove sport items like soccer balls, basketballs, goalposts, etc.
Clean
Clean the pool and hide all cleaning supplies.
Hide trash bins.
Remove any dead plants.
Clean up landscaping by raking leaves, mowing the lawn, trimming plants and trees, etc.
